- MADE FOR HINGED DOORS — CHECK THE FIT BEFORE YOU BUY. Fits most hinged doors up to 1-3/8" thick, or up to 1-13/16" thick when GlideLok's spacer bar is removed. Works with many interior, exterior and French doors, including doors with knobs, levers, oversized handles and uniquely shaped handles. Does NOT fit pocket doors, bifold doors, sliding glass doors or other doors that move on a track. Also does NOT fit storm doors, patio screen doors, metal door frames or double doors that swing in both directions.
- INSTALLS AT THE TOP OF THE DOOR FRAME WITH ONE INCLUDED SCREW. GlideLok requires drilling and is not an adhesive pet or child safety lock. On most inward-opening exterior doors, the screw is installed on the outside/exterior portion of the frame. You must be able to reach the top of the door to slide the GlideLok between its locked and unlocked positions.
- ADULTS CAN OPERATE THE LOCK FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE DOOR. Because GlideLok overhangs both sides of the door, adults can slide it into position from either side instead of being limited to the side where the door was secured. When you do not need to restrict access for a pet or child, simply leave GlideLok disengaged and open and close the door normally.
